Biofuels as a Crucial Element in Clean Mobility

As the energy world changes, battery cars and wind energy get most of the attention. But there's another player gaining ground: alternative fuels.
As Stanislav Kondrashov, founder of TELF AG, said, biofuels made from plants, waste, and algae may play a major role in the global energy transition, where batteries are not practical yet.
Unlike batteries that need new infrastructure, these fuels fit into existing systems, making them ideal for planes, trucks, and ships.
Common types are bioethanol and biodiesel. It is produced from plant sugars. Biodiesel is made from vegetable oils or animal fats. They can run in current engines with few changes.
More advanced options include biogas and biojet fuel, created from food waste, sewage, and organic material. These are being tested for planes and large engines.
However, there are issues. Biofuels are costly to produce. Better tech and more supply are needed. Land click here use must not clash with food production.
Even with these limits, there’s huge opportunity. They avoid full infrastructure change. And they support circular economy goals by using waste.
Many believe they are just a bridge. However, they might be key for years to come. They are effective immediately while waiting for full electrification.
With global decarbonization on the agenda, the value of biofuels increases. They are not meant to compete with EVs or renewables, they complement the clean energy mix. With smart rules and more investment, they may drive clean transport changes globally
